I lake Zurich a lot

Zurich was absolutely beautiful. We spent a lot of time walking by the water, enjoying clean and accessible lake, did a little shopping and went to a museum. The drinking water was terrific. I wish I could have bottled it up and brought it along for the rest of the trip or sent it home. Everything was clean and elegant, a change of pace from the other area we had been to. We spent our first night watching the sunset by the water. I even got in the water a little bit, surprisingly not too cold.

During the day we had in Zurich we walked around the shopping area of town and learned about the Wallace water fountains, which we would soon find in all of the rest of the cities on our trip. We saw more Swiss Army Knife Stores than I had seen before in my life.

We stopped at the Swiss National Museum before we left. It included Swiss design, that I had learned about in my college classes. The technology they used in the museum made the experience very interactive that none of the other museums we had visited. They also had a part about Anne Frank which I really enjoyed but is always a hard pill to swallow.

Our stop in Zurich was short and sweet but also insanely beautiful. On the train to Heidelberg, Germany, we went through the longest train tunnel in the world. It makes sense, considering that we were traveling through the Swiss Alps. The tunnel is almost 40 miles long.
